I've just begun to learn Irish from a native speaker and teacher at a university near to where I live. She comes to my home once a week, as I am disabled and cannot get out easily. My problem is that I cannot, without having other people to speak Irish with, remember pronunciations from one week to the next. I have some Irish tapes and they help, but, as they are limited to words and phrases of the maker's chosing, I often cannot find the words and phrases for which pronunciations I am looking. My teacher has suggested and given me to read several books, and I have looked over the books available on this site, and, so far, have not found any in the large print I require - being visually impaired. Any sugggestions for me? Titles and/ or sources that might provide large print books in Irish? My thanks, in advance, for any assistance, Pat

Dia dhuit Pat,
Maith thú! ( Good on you!) Fáilte chuig ár dteanga álainn!
Welcome to our lovely language!

I am not sure if there are specific books available in Irish in large print for the visually impaired. I shall contact a few people to see if such books are available and to find out where you might get them if they are.
I don't know if you would be interested in Children's books at all???????
A lot of them do have large print and they might provide a useful springboard to other topics.

Slán go fóill,
Goodbye for now,
Seosaimhín
