There are a few recurring words which give me trouble each time: the word he uses when he returns each time with heads I think might be “trian”, i.e. “Sin dhá thrian d’iníne agam (?)”, meaning he has earned 2/3 of the daughter’s marriage?

Likewise, I’m not sure if I have “Crochaire” right. It is in De Bhaldraithe as both “hanger” (unlikely) and “scoundrel”. Ó Donaill has “cnuchaire”, which means humped person, and would likely be pronounced the same way by certain speakers. I’m not sure which one seems more plausible. “Slamaire” is my best guess at the rest of his name, but what the whole name is supposed to imply is a bit lost on me.
