(de) chóir (a bheith) is “almost”, “nearly” in English
Ó Donaill says it’s a different kind of cóir (= nearness) and not cóir (justice, equity)
Yeah, it’s actually the same word as comhair like in os comhair, faoi chomhair, i gcomhair, &c.
