I don’t have enough knowledge of the dialect to say for sure, really, but it seems to mostly be more similar to Munster but with some features more common to Connacht. But someone may correct me on that – I’m very far from an authority on dialects. I also haven’t read the book in question, so I probably should have just kept my mouth shut 😛
Ceist agam, Cé chomh difriúil is é an Ghaeilge gCorca Dhuibhne sa leabhar ó chanúintí eile?
Please correct my Learner’s Irish.
An iad na difríochtaí idir í agus na mionchanúintí eile atá i Mumhain atá i gceist agat nó na difríochtaí idir í agus na canúintí móra eile (Gaeilge Chonamara agus Gaeilg Uladh)? Ceartúcháin bheaga: an Ghaeilge Chorca Dhuibhne atá sa leabhar. “Is í” in inead “Is é”, ainmfhocal baininscneach ‘sea í “An Ghaeilge” (fé mar a dúirt Héilics Órbhuí)
