I suppose the “Irish Cara Club” could more closely mean “Club of Irish Friends” but Aonghus is right to say that its not an easy thing to translate over since the English Club name includes a combination of Irish and English words itself. It may be best to use the whole phrase as a proper noun and keep it in the English written way….at least until the club itself can come up with an official translation to use I suppose. 🙂

I think it really depends on whether you wish “Cara” to be treated as a proper name or if you wish it to mean “friend”.

“Cumann Éireannach Cara” is what I would say for the first.
“Cumann na gCairde Éireannacha” is what I would say for the second.
