I just wanted to share these two with the community.

Is í an Ghaeilge teanga mo ghrá.
Gan í bheith agam atá mo chrá.
Dá mbeadh a teanga i mo bhéal,
Nach ormsa a bheadh an t-ádh!

From Dennis King’s blog. Not sure if he still comes around here.

As per Héilics Órbhuí’s suggestion I created a .sub file for this and sent it to the video’s creator.

An-deas! Just one suggestion. Perhaps “gan í bheith agam atá do mo chrá” would be better? In general, you would need “tá + X + do mo + chrá/bhualadh/mharú etc.

If I know Dennis at all, ‘Gan í bheith agam atá mo chrá’ was chosen to maintain the proper number of syllables.

Oh, I see. If it was written by Dennis King, he probably knew what he was doing.

Is fíor dhuit, b’fhearr é a scríobh mar sin.
