Description: The Master’s/Internship will entail part time studies on the taught Master’s in Speech and Language Processing, (see https://www.tcd.ie/slscs/postgraduate/taught-courses/speech- language-processing/) while also carrying out part time research with the ABAIR project team (see http://www.abair.ie ), extending the current synthetic voices for Irish, and adapting them for specific applications.
Requirements: The candidate should be a graduate in engineering, computer science, or similar, with a strong background in digital signal processing, programming and mathematics. Although not essential, knowledge of speech signal processing, machine learning and speech acoustics are an advantage. The candidate should have a high level of competence in Irish and an interest in pursuing research on Irish Speech Technology. Applications from native speakers are particularly welcome.
Stipend: €13,000 per annum + M.Phil registration fees.
