I am currently reading the late Maidhc Dainin O’Se’s novel ‘Punt Isló’. But I must say that I never came across the word ‘Isló’ before. I know that ‘ló’ is the irish for day in Munster Irish, but what is the meaning of ‘Isló’? Would I be correct in saying that it means ‘daily’?

Yes, is ló = sa ló = ins an ló = per day. (“in the day”)

    From the jacket blurb:

Ní furasta an saol a bhí ag Áine, agus nár bhreá léi saibhreas a fháil – punt sa ló, abair…?

    ló is dative of lá
