So I’m close to drafting and photographing the first story arc for my set-in-Ireland Lego webcomic (here’s a sneak peek at the cast: http://ballinabricky.wordpress.com/the-literary-cast-of-ballinabricky/ ). I’m trying to put the finishing touches on the last two models (LED lighting in the train station and the inscriptions on the graveyard monuments).

So what I need are Irish names, but ones that are also anglicizations of common Irish phrases. Stuff like
Tommy Mahoney (tá mé i mo chónaí)
    Jane Jeffers (déan deifir)
    Neal Shea (níl sé)
    Rocky Maye (rachaidh mé)
    Chucky O’Lawe (tiocfaidh ár lá)

    …7rl

That’s all I’ve got for now, but if anyone can think of others in that vein, I’d really appreciate it!

I would think that Tammy Marv (or Marr) would be highly appropriate (Tá mé marbh)

Or the rather contrived Waverly A Iffran (mhórbhealaigh a ifreann)

Oh, and just squeezing in Neil E Sugham (Níl a fios agam)

I’m not putting the Irish in with these. If the meaning isn’t fairly obvious, maybe they’re not worth using.

    Jay Tort
    Erin Gobraye
    Barney Speck
    Billy T. More
    Nan Ellen
    Anne Jess
