I haven’t quite gotten to the future tense and conditional tense verb conjugations in my rosetta stone, so I haven’t heard many pronunciations of these verbs yet, but I have come accross them in other reading. I have heard future tense verbs pronounced as if the “f” was silent, but conditional verbs I have heard pronounce with the “f” definitely there.

    Some examples would be:
    Buailfidh / Buailfeadh
    Cuirfidh / Cuirfeadh
    Léifidh / Léifeadh
    Tabharfaidh / Thabharfadh
    etc…

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as I like to sound out what I’m reading in my head as I read it, and I always stumble over these.

    Go raibh maith agaibh!

I think we talked about this about one hundred times 🙂

The -f- of the future and conditional endings are pronounced like an -h- in almost all dialects.
But the endings -f(e)à and -f(a)ì often have an -f- sound in Munster.

Yeah I’m sure this comes up a lot, but I wasn’t sure how to search for it in the search bar.

Go raibh maith agat, a Lughaidh. 🙂

The -f- of the future and conditional endings are pronounced like an -h- in almost all dialects.

And silent in Cois Fhairrge dialect.
