I’ve become very interested in the dialects of Ulster lately having read Seosamh Mac Grianna’s “Mo Bhealach Féin”. While searching the net yesterday I stumbled upon this gem of a site:

    http://www.rannnafeirste.com/

I haven’t delved into it properly yet, but on first inspection it looks to be excellent. It includes a phonemic description of the dialect which can be downloaded via dropbox (see site for link), along with sound recordings of the phonemes (still under construction). Finally, the site includes a seanchas section with a good range of poems and stories, all recorded by native speakers. This site will certainly be of great interest to learners, now if someone only put together a good comprehensive grammar of the dialect…:)

What do you think? Wouldn’t it be great to see similar initiatives for other dialects?!
