aonghus- You are correct in that I am trying to convey a back and forth relationship between mother and daughter. This seems to be causing quite a lot of questions!! Perhaps there just isn’t a translation, although this suggestion seems fitting:

Is cosúil máthair agus iníon
(Mother and daughter resemble each other)

Is this definitely correct?

I saw that someone else posted there in English and I’m not familiar with this site. Now I feel terrible!! I’m trying to figure out how to delete it so I don’t tick anybody off. Thanks for the translation help, though 🙂
