Alan – I just sent you a second private message with instructions on how to enter this in the Shop – the correct cost is $30 for the DVDs and $16 for shipping. Sincere apologies for the delay – Rath

Fáilte ar ais chuig an Ghaeilge, a Alan.

Tá súil agam go mbuailfidh mé leat ag deireadh seachtaine Ghaeilge am éigin anseo, nó i gCeanada.
Hope to meet you someday at one of the Irish Language weekends, either here or in Canada.

Agus go raibh maith agat as do nóta, a Sheáinín – táim i dteagmháil le hAlan faoi na DVD’na.

Daltaí has copies of Tús Maith 1 & 2 available – if you’re interested write me – rath1 @ daltai dot com
The cost is $50 for each level – but I do think they’re worth it – the book is comprehensive and comes with 3 CDs – so the price really isn’t bad.
I’ve used them as a basis to teach from and think they’re well organized and good for adult learners.

Tá cúpla leabhar le drámaí agam, agus is féidir liom iad a thabhairt duit in Chicopee ar iasacht. Agus tá cúpla script agam ar mo ríomhaire. Cuirfidh mé ceann acu chugat anois díreach.

Bhuel, cloisfidh tú daoine ag caint i mBéarla, gan aon agó.
Ach déan do dhícheall do chuid Gaeilge a úsáid i ‘chuile comhrá, go háirithe taobh amuigh den rang.
Mura bhfuil an focal Gaeilge agat, abair as Béarla é, agus ansin ar ais go Gaeilge.
Sin í an tsí is fearr, i mo thauirim féin . . . Mar a chuirfeas tú bainfidh tú.

Táim ag súil go mór leis an deireadh seachtaine seo.

Beidh fáilte agus fiche romhat, a Sheáinín . . .

You will be very welcome at the weekend – and you’ll be able to meet some other New Englanders, too.
I was very nervous myself the first weekend I attended, not knowing a single person, and with only a few phrases in my head that I tried my best to use whenever the chance arose. But I found that everyone was kind and patient, and I kept coming back – not only for the chance to learn, and later speak the language with others, but also for the great people – and we certainly manage to have a lot of fun, too.

We’re a mixed group – from school age to senior age 🙂 / from total beginners to cainteoirí dúchais
But the weekend is full of things to do, and you’ll find it flies past, so that you’ll be looking forward to the next one.

My name is Rath, and you will find me behind the tables at the bookshop – so come introduce yourself.
Feicfidh mé oíche hAoine thú . . .
