aonghusParticipant
Seans gurbh fiú daoibh feidhm a bhaint as an uirlis seo de chuid MBM má tá sé i gceist agam foclóir a chuir ar líne.
aonghusParticipantaonghusParticipantNíl: ach tá Foras Feasa ar fáil anseo:
aonghusParticipantMholfainn duit do mholadh ⊠do mholtaí a chuir chucu!
aonghusParticipantIs iomaí Abha ann, mar sin ní haon ionadh é!
Is fear uasal é Dara cinnte.
aonghusParticipantIs as Baile na hAbha in aice le Más a’ Tiompáin é Dara.
aonghusParticipantDiabhal scéil.
Conas tá agat féin? Fáilte ar ais. Éirithe ciúin sna bólaí seo ó bhí tú thart cheana.
aonghusParticipantTá an Ghaeilge láidir go maith i gCúil Aodha i Múscraí
http://homepage.eircom.net/~meithealmhuscrai/coolea/
Níl cúrsaí i mbaile Bhúirne chomh folláin sin ó thaobh na Gaeilge, bheadh ort í a lorg ann.
Is beag mo chuir amach ar an Iarthar.
Tá cuid mhaith Gaeilge laistiar den Daingean, ach is ceantar láidir turasóireachta ata ann freisin. Lasmuigh den séasúir is mó seans go gcloisfeá í.
aonghusParticipantTá an scéal ag dul ar aghaidh le tamaill; agus tá an pobal scoilte.
Cloisim píosa faoi ar RnaG ó am go chéile.
aonghusParticipantMás buan mo chuimhne, sé pointe an scéil ná gurbh é an fear a bhfuil sé ag labhairt leis fear an tí ina bhfuil an taisce?
aonghusParticipantToo literal, and reads awkwardly in Irish.
Do you mean financially or do you mean you have never been happier? Or both?
A phrase for being on top of the world is “Táim ar muin na muice”
Maybe:
Ní raibh mé riamh chomh sona
Nó
Ní raibh an saol chomh mór ar mo thoil agam cheana
aonghusParticipantBhuel/bhail are simply transliterations of well. (Which i have seen printed as “well” in roman type in old seanchló books!)
How wold you say, “Well, why am I not suprised?”
I’d say: Ní chuireann sin iontas dá laghad orm
aonghusParticipantDo you mean books, or syllabuses?
As far as I know the syllabus is published online only. It was not available in Irish for all subjects until a complaint was made through the language commissioner; I believe it is now.
The situation with books is mixed – that is one of the tasks of COGG
For reasons of cost some of the books are only available online. (but free), see the publications section of COGG website.
aonghusParticipantI think “Is aoibhinn bheith beo” captures what Ida wants to say and is idiomatic.
A more literal translation will be clunky.
aonghusParticipantNíl ach Foclóir amháin as Gaeilge amháin ann:
