That’s sad to hear. Off that point, the welsh language is still fairly strong, is it not? I have been given the impression that in some ways it is stronger than Gaeilge. I don’t understand also how anything non British in Scotland would be considered as “Jacobite ****.” Perhaps Independence would change that to an extent? I just think that after independence (should that occur) the language could be used to help create a stronger national identity.
