Does anyone know the genitive of “laoch”? I believe in order to say something like “a warrioress’ son” you would need to translate it as “mac bhanlaoch”, but I was thinking it may need the genitive case of “bhanlaoch.” Is this true or necessary?

The singular genitive of “laoch” is “laoich”. But quite often, “laoch” means “hero”. To say “warrior” you can also use “gaiscíoch”.
    Would be “mac banghaiscígh” then.
If you want to use “banlaoch”, then it’s “mac banlaoich”.
