Teachers’ Workshop
Ceardlann na Múinteoirí
February 18 – 19, 2018Daltaí na Gaeilge organizes a workshop every February for the benefit of Irish language instructors, and our 2018 Teachers’ Workshop will be held on February 18 – 19 in Esopus, New York. We are extremely pleased that Rachael Nic Pháidín will be visiting from Ireland this year to direct the program, thanks to generous support from the Fulbright Commission.
Rachael received her International Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and in Irish Language from University College Dublin (UCD) and from the University of British Columbia in 2008. She then began working as an Irish language teacher in Galway and remained there for five years. After spending a year in Canada as a group leader she returned to Ireland and resumed teaching Irish. In 2017 Rachael earned her Masters Degree in Special Education from Dublin City University (DCU) while simultaneously working as an Irish language instructor.
In addition to all of that Rachel teaches piano, and she also enjoys sailing, skiing, swimming, bicycling, running and travel – of course!
