Seachtain 2012 Esopus, NY
Fuaireamar fáilte Uí Cheallaigh (mar is gnách) ó Brother Don agus a fhoireann nuair a tháinig muid ar ais chuig an Marist Center le haghaidh ár seachtain tumoideachais shamhraidh.
Bheadh Ethel an-bhródúil as.
We received a very hearty welcome (as usual) from Brother Don and all his staff when we arrived back at the Marist Center for our Summer Immersion Week.
Ethel would have been very proud.
As usual, our store manager, Rath, was very busy helping the students pick out the best books to help them with their studies for the Week and beyond.
The Thinker – Daltaí style.
Yeah! Swimming pool break.
The quiz night was a popular event with everyone. Uáitéar managed to get us all thinking very hard.
Our session, as usual, was alive with some excellent performances. Rhiannon amazed us with her expertise on the fiddle. Thanks, Rhiannon.
It’s always important to stop and take in the scenery. Esopus has great views of the river. Don’t believe us? Make your reservations early for the Immersion Week next Summer.
This was the last year of Brother Don hosting our Week in Esopus. While there I found this picture of young Brother Don. He still looks as great as ever. We wish him all the best in his new endeavors. You’ll be missed, Brother.
Is that Twiggy behind that amazing structure?
The Kitchie Gang. They did the Brothers proud.
Our dear friend Pádraigín Thomas passed away as she was packing her car to come to Esopus. She was sorely missed by everyone during the Week. I’ve thought many times of when she won the ”Fudd of Elmer” competition several years ago. She and her fellow Divas have thrilled us all with their performances at all of the Daltaí events. I encourage you all to look at the memorial that we had for her at the session. May God rest her soul.
Does anyone have the sheet music for the “Flight of the Bumblebees”?
Hula hooping? At your age?
