Dia Daoibh,

I seem to remember that initial “bh” is pronounced as “m”. My former teacher was coming from an Ulster bent. Perhaps it’s peculiar to that dialect. I don’t want people to think I have a speech defect!

This occurs only in the Ulster pronunciation of the possessive adjective “bhur” /mur/.
